Table Poet exists because we believe the dinner table is one of the last great spaces for genuine cultural exchange, and that the person who sets it is more powerful than they know.

For centuries, the most consequential conversations in human history happened around a table. The Greeks called it the symposium. The French, the salon. The Harlem Renaissance, the Dark Tower. Every civilisation, in every century, found its way back to the same thing: people gathered around a table, in pursuit of ideas.

Somewhere between then and now, hosting became hyper-fixated on how the table looked rather than what happened at it.

Table Poet is the antidote. A global supper club, delivered through the post, built to give anyone the architecture to host with meaning, intellectual depth, and beauty. Each month, a hosting kit arrives at your door built around a single intellectual premise, with everything you need to host an unforgettable evening.

This is your invitation back to the oldest and most human practice we have.

Nas — Co-founder

Nas is a Cambridge-trained designer with a background spanning architecture, marketing and brand. Her dedication to intellectual rigour and visual precision touches everything Table Poet produces, from the design of the kits to the curation of each monthly premise. Table Poet is an extension of her years of gathering people in her home, across four moves, two countries, and every iteration of starting over. For Nas, the dinner table has always been the instrument through which a foreign city becomes a semblance of home.

Our Collaborators

Each month, Table Poet invites a set of collaborators to interpret the monthly premise through their own discipline. A philosopher shapes the conversation, a chef designs the menu, a potter imagines how the table should be dressed, a DJ scores the room. We believe that the richest evenings are produced when intellect cross-pollinates, and our monthly editions are built on exactly that principle. If you are a chef, artist, philosopher, anthropologist, DJ, stylist, potter, writer, or practitioner of any discipline that touches the way humans gather, eat, think, or create, we would love to feature you at the table.
